Anandam Free Tuition Centre to support first generation students
A child’s environment plays a crucial role in shaping his/her future. Many children from low-income communities come from single-parent households or an abusive environment with alcoholic fathers. They are also, more often than not, first-generation learners.
On one hand, parents with little or no formal education are unable to help children academically. On the other, poor economic conditions act as a deterrent for deserving students who want to pursue higher education. Through our Education Assistance Programme we address both concerns.
In 2010, we started an evening tuition centre with 7 students at our premises to provide free, after school coaching & today, we have 270 students from classes 3-12. We work closely with government/municipal school teachers to identify deserving students.
With the support from corporates and foundations, Anandam provides helping hands to more than 100 college students and 80 school students. We also conduct value education classes to those students, aiming to make them a good citizen of our Nation. Also, their health being monitored by our doctors.

We are delighted to announce that the Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF), a foundation based out of New York, has renewed its support for another year. For the past three years, Anandam Trust has been the recipient of GKF’s generous support.
GKF has been a steadfast supporter of our cause by covering the operational expenses of our after school tuition program, benefiting approximately 270 to 300 children every day. Their support has played a pivotal role in empowering first-generation learners and providing them with the resources they need to succeed. As a result of these efforts, children have made great strides at their respective schools.
The collaboration between Anandam Trust and GKF exemplifies a shared commitment to providing quality education and support to underprivileged children. Together, we will make a tangible difference to the lives of children as we work tirelessly to craft a better future for all.

Along with our elders, we have a team of professional teachers who impart quality education in smart classrooms equipped with computers, smart boards, and audio/visual facilities.
All students are provided refreshments prior to their classes. With the additional tutoring at our centre, students have shown tremendous improvement in their academic performance. We also coach students for competitive exams like NEET, CA, and other professional classes. Every year, more than 100 deserving students receive our support for securing college admission & financial aid. In addition to this, we also provide one new set of Diwali dress, uniform & school kit every year.
